It’s smooth sailing ahead for people taking SamTrans or Caltrain to the Festival of Sail to be held on The Embarcadero waterfront July 23 – 27, when San Francisco welcomes striking tall ships from all over the world.

SamTrans and Caltrain provide easy access to transit connections to the festival helping you avoid traffic and parking headaches.

In San Francisco, SamTrans riders can connect to routes 14 and 14L (14 L weekday and Saturday), the F-line, or Golden Gate Transit at the Transbay Terminal.

Caltrain riders can connect to the Metro N-Judah or T-Third at the San Francisco train station to get to the Green Village at Pier 30 and 32, the International Village near the Ferry Building and routes 10 Townsend and 47 Van Ness to get to the Marine Education Village, located near Maritime Park.

Caltrain encourages riders to purchase a Day Pass on their way to the festivities to avoid delays in boarding after the event.
