Take SamTrans to the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival

Celebrate the great pumpkin, the iconic symbol of autumn, by taking SamTrans to the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival the weekend of Oct. 17 and 18.

Festival-goers can avoid traffic and parking hassles by taking SamTrans Route 294 from Pacifica. Coastside residents also can ride SamTrans Route 17 to Half Moon Bay from Montara. The free event is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both weekend days.

Due to traffic congestion, the buses will not service stops on Highway 1 or on Main Street from Highway 92 south. Instead, the buses will serve the stop at Highway 92 in front of New Leaf Community Market shopping center, between Highway 1 and Main Street.

Visitors going to the pumpkin Mecca can expect a huge lineup of activities and exhibits paying homage to the gourd, including a special display of massive weigh-off champion pumpkins, entertainment, live music, the Great Pumpkin Parade, harvest-inspired crafts, expert pumpkin carvers, pie-eating and much more.
