Take Transit to Streets Alive Events
Sunday, April 11, cities across San Mateo County will transform public streets into car-free outdoor spaces for people to walk, bike, run, roll, play, and enjoy being active and healthy. From 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Streets Alive San Mateo County will close local streets and highlight public places such as parks, plazas and trails as a way to promote healthy outdoor activity for a healthy future. People of all ages and physical abilities will have the opportunity to be active, rediscover their neighborhoods, visit other communities, and experience the freedom of safe, car-free spaces.
And, SamTrans can be the perfect way to get to the free and low-cost activities. Routes 390 and 391 serve stops on El Camino Real, within walking distance of many events. Bikes are allowed on all SamTrans buses. For information on how to bring bikes on SamTrans buses click here.
